Two revenue streams fund this site. Neither one can buy a score, a ranking, or a softer sentence.
1. Retail affiliate links
When we link to products — test kits, dehumidifiers, moisture meters — some links are affiliate links, and the retailer may pay us a commission if you buy. The price you pay doesn't change. Commission rates never decide what we recommend: our picks are scored before we look at what a link pays.
2. Quote referrals to vetted operators
Where we offer a "get a quote" option, we may refer your request to independent local inspection or removal operators, who pay us a referral fee. Operators cannot pay to be recommended in our editorial content, cannot see or influence a score, and stay on our referral list only while their published pricing, qualifications and conduct hold up. A referral fee buys a lead — never a verdict.
What we never do
- No sponsored verdicts, paid placements or advertorial — ever.
- No sharing your details with anyone beyond the operator you asked to be connected with.
- No rendering a price we haven't verified on the operator's or retailer's own page, with the date we checked it.
